I am getting a lot of notification from various channels to listen to such and such motivational speakers- some of them are branded religious and some dynamic branded corporate.

I do not follow motivational speakers but I follow seniors who can teach me values, religion, business, relationship or skills. The difference between the two is – a motivational speaker can motivate you to do business but cannot teach you how to? It is just like he can motivate you to climb up a tree and see the world from the top but himself does not know how to. Most motivational speakers are junk speakers and time wasters. The real speaker is one who teaches me his skills and shares his knowledge.

My Math teacher transferred her knowledge into my head and I stood first in the class.

My sports coach gave me tips and I won 100 meters dash never to be defeated again.

My car trainer drove away the fear from my heart and I drove a car on highway and crowded street without crashing or hitting anyone.

My business consultant discussed with me about the business trend in UAE and now I am a businessman.

A few hours with a common salesman in action taught me hundreds of lessons in sales.

My mom took me to poor and the needy and showed me how to give charity and help.

None of them were speakers nor motivated me but I saw their own performance, their words were rich with tips and ideas because of their own experience. Their knowledge was a combination of their learnings from their seniors along their own failures and success.
